Attorney Carlos Sebastian Mora

Carlos Sebastian Mora is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with more than a decade of experience defending clients throughout the highest levels of Florida courts. Before entering private practice, Mr. Mora served as an Assistant Public Defender in both Volusia and Orange Counties, representing individuals facing misdemeanor to murder.
During his time as a public defender, Carlos gained extensive courtroom experience, handling thousands of criminal cases and has more than 40 jury trials under his belt boasting an impressive win rate in even the most challenging of cases; a feat few trial attorneys in Florida can claim. With more than ten years on the front lines of criminal defense, Carlos understands the high stakes a criminal charge carries and the difference an attorney prepared to fight can make for his clients.
Carlos earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University before attending Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, he served as President of the Trial Team, further developing his skills in courtroom advocacy, trial strategy, and persuasive litigation. Additionally, he served as a Student Director of Pro Bono Services where he led efforts to expand access to legal services and further the legal profession’s responsibility to serve the community.
Carlos’s commitment to trial advocacy continues today through his work coaching Mock Trial students at the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). Mr. Mora draws on his years of courtroom experience to help the next generation of advocates develop practical trial skills and to understand the importance of preparation, strategy, and effective courtroom presentation.
In private practice, as a criminal defense and family law practitioner, Carlos carries extensive courtroom experience, an incredibly positive reputation among judges and practitioners, and a passion for trial advocacy. He understands that facing criminal charges can be among the most stressful and consequential experiences in a person’s life, and he is committed to providing each client with knowledgeable, strategic, and determined representation.
